The Student Advocate is responsible for fostering engagement and learning within the Juniper Music Club programs. These volunteers will actively participate in the activities alongside the Juniper Students and facilitate small group projects to encourage student participation and connection. Each Student Advocate will have between 1-5 Juniper Students assigned to them in their designated classes, and is responsible for looking after, providing support, and advocating for their youth.

Time commitment: Camp hours & training.

Clay Camp - June 10th-14th, 9am-12pm (these dates may change)

Mixed Media Art Camp - June 24-28, 9am-12pm

Music Camp: July 15-19, 9am-12pm

Must be 21+ to volunteer. No music or art experience required.

The Teacher Assistant is responsible for providing teacher support and help within the Juniper Visual Arts and/or Juniper Music summer camp. The Assistants will actively assist students, observe the teacher, and practice teaching in a trauma-informed classroom. Teacher Assistants will gain experience in behavioral support methods, classroom management, and overall student-teacher communication that will greatly aid their educational journey.

Must be 21+ years of age.

The purpose of the Juniper Arts Academy “It Takes A Village” Team is to provide ongoing support for Juniper programming, events, and general administrative duties to ensure effective community support for students. Examples of duties are: assisting with class admin duties, general administrative tasks (i.e., assisting in organizing storage unit/classrooms, helping stuff envelopes, etc.), and setting up for events (day of).

Time Commitment: Average 2 hrs monthly

Must be 20+ to volunteer.
